Cheshire Resident helps to decorate care home for Remembrance SundayResident Mary Westbury, who lives at Ferndale Mews care home in Widnes, helped Colleagues to decorate the home for Remembrance Sunday this week.

Residents at Ferndale Mews assisted Colleagues in helping to decorate the home in the famous red poppy colours for Armistice Day.

Mary, who is described as a lovely Resident, thought the idea was fantastic and was only too glad to help colour poppies in, she commented, “I love the idea of decorating the home in poppies to remember those who fell in the great war.”

One fellow Resident commented, “Everybody is really enjoying telling stories of their experiences during the war.”

Peter, Home Manager, remarked, “I love to see people remembering times gone by and this helps us to remember all those people who gave their lives today for our tomorrow.”
