Residents at HC-One’s Stoneleigh care home in Stanley enjoyed a lovely Christmas day, filled with fun, laughter and activity and of course plenty of food and drink.
This year, Christmas has been strange for everyone, but Stoneleigh Residents have coped amazingly well with it, being open minded and positive about the festive period, they have enjoyed it just as much as the rest of their Christmas Day’s.
The staff worked hard to get the home decorated and to get the Residents presents from their own resident Santa on Christmas morning. Residents then enjoyed a wonderful lunch, all properly socially distanced and with specially made cookies and Christmas cake for dessert.
Later in the evening, after their midday nap, Residents enjoyed a small drink and some Christmas films on television. They all really enjoyed it even though it was very different to other years.
