To celebrate ‘National Take your Dog to Work Day’, Colleagues at
Greengables residential and nursing care home, in Cheshire, brought their four-legged friends to work with them to compete in a dog show.
Colleagues organised a dog show as entertainment for Residents and a total of seven dogs competed, with Residents choosing a winner for nine separate categories and then the overall, ‘Best in Show’.
Dogs paraded arounds in front of the Residents where they were all introduced to each other. The winner received a prize and a certificate, and the dogs enjoyed it too!
Residents particularly enjoyed watching the dogs do tricks, catching biscuits, giving their paw and dancing. One of the Residents loved it and said, “The dogs were so well behaved. It’s lovely! I love dogs.”
Home Manager, Dawn Sadler, commented, “It was really a fun-packed day for everyone involved.”
