Bellefield residential care home, in Liverpool, Colleagues were over the moon when the local mobility shop asked if they would like a gift.
Barry, from Able World Mobility, asked if the home would accept a gift of a new reclining chair for one of their Residents. Colleagues jumped at the chance, as they are a real asset to aiding peoples’ independence.
Representatives from the company came and dropped it off for the home and it was given to Resident Mr Harry Knight, who thought it was amazing. It enables him to use the control to lift the chair, to help him stand unaided.
The chair is a lovely material, very plush and padded. This gift to buy would have cost approximately £1200; very generous indeed, and very appreciated.
Harry was delighted with this gift and commented, “I will be able to put my feet up while watching my movies on a night.”
Jackie Bridge, Care Home Manager, said, “We are so very grateful for this kind donation and it will definitely be put to good use.”
