Residents at HC-One’s Riverside View care home in Dundee recently enjoyed an autumnal meal with a twist, as they tucked into some hotdogs and burgers straight from the grill.
Riverside View Residents enjoyed one last BBQ to welcome in the changes of the season. Staff and Resident’s enjoy traditional BBQ food from burgers, sausages, fries and coleslaw.
One Riverside View Resident said: “I love BBQ food so it was nice to have one last BBQ before the weather turned.”
Residents at Riverside asked if they could have the BBQ before it got too cold as they hadn’t had one in the summer due to lockdown. The Home Manager was happy to facilitate this. To ensure correct socially distancing staff took Residents orders prior to the food being cooked, before bringing them over to Residents sat in the dining and lounge areas.
Riverside View Home Manager, Lyndsey Robbie said: “All staff really enjoyed taking part in the Residents getting one more BBQ before the weather turned and to help support their wellbeing.”
