Eastbourne Residents get their sleeves rolled up for a morning of art and crafts funA morning of fun and creativity was had at Coppice Court care home, just outside Eastbourne, which offers nursing and nursing dementia care, as the Residents participated in arts and crafts.

The Residents from the ground floor all got stuck into a session of painting and other forms of art.

One Resident in particular who has a real ‘artistic flare’ took the session into her own hands and decided to take on a spot of face painting! Lucy said: “Painting is one of my favourite things to do! I love it, and love all the fun that we can have.”

Artistic activities can have a positive impact on the elderly, and promote feelings of wellness as well as being a lot of fun to take part in.

One Colleagues who was supporting the creative session said: “It is lovely to see how much fun Lucy has. She enjoys being creative so much, it is a real pleasure to witness!”

The other Residents commented on the fun that they had throughout the session, and said that they ‘love the opportunity to be creative and get messy.’

The Residents at Coppice Court are looking forward to spending more time getting their hands dirty in a fun, art session soon.
