Edinburgh care home take part in Remembrance Day serviceResidents at HC-One’s Murrayfield House care home in The City of Edinburgh recently enjoyed their own Remembrance Day service, since coronavirus restrictions altered original plans.

On the lead up to Remembrance Day Murrayfield House wellbeing coordinators spoke to Residents and got many stories on family members who served in both wars. Their stories were laminated and put up around the home for staff and Residents to read.

Residents enjoyed watching the Cenotaph ceremony on Sunday morning after they had a small ceremony of remembrance at the homes Garden of Remembrance where poems were read out and Residents reminisced about memories of those they have lost.

Remembrance Day is a Memorial Day observed in Commonwealth member states. Remembrance Day has been observed since the end of the First World War to remember armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.
