Essex care home hold Remembrance Day celebrationsAt Chaseview care home in Romford, Essex, they have been very busy with art and crafts sessions as well as decorating the lounges for the special Remembrance Day celebrations.

Some of the lady Residents have been knitting poppies to sell and raise money for the British Legion and the home held the two minutes of silence on Sunday along with the annual TV broadcast.

Afterwards Residents and Colleagues marked the occasion with a morning tea and cake made by the Head Chef. This was then followed by a lovely reminiscence session which took up a large portion of the afternoon.

Home Manager, Beverley Therese, commented, “What a beautiful day. There were some amazing stories that were shared and the home will be writing some of them up and displaying in a frame in the lounge.”
