Exciting changes at Shelton LockResidents at HC-One’s Shelton Lock care home have enjoyed a few changes in the home recently.

The home were delighted to recently welcome some furry friends in the form of baby birds, after they were born in the home’s beautiful aviary.

In total, nine birds have been born at the home, and Residents have been so pleased to meet each one.

Another change in the home occurred during a most recent fire drill, as Resident, Colin, decided he would like a role in the drill training. It was decided with Emma, fire safety trainer, that he could assist with holding flash cards to help Colleagues answer questions on fire drill training, brushing up their knowledge.

Colin remarked: “I’ve enjoyed being involved in the staff training, I think everyone was surprised to see me joining in to help.”
