Residents can now shop from the comfort of their own home as Colleagues open up their brand-new store at HC-One’s The Beeches care home in Dunfermline, Fife.
Many Residents voiced their disappointment at not being able to go to the shops due to lockdown restrictions. Many at the home are shielding and unfortunately cannot enjoy their usual shopping trips.
Colleagues decided to do something about it to cheer up the Residents and sourced a donated shed. After a bit of TLC, Colleagues transformed the shed into an incredible mini shop just for Residents.
Local branches of Asda and Tesco have contributed to the shop to help keep it stocked with all the everyday items that Residents need. The shed shop is now open and Residents are absolutely delighted to be able to do their own shopping once again.
One Resident commented: “This is amazing, just what we need. I can’t wait to visit and have a coffee.”
