First ride out for Newton Aycliffe care homeResidents at HC-One’s St Clare’s Court in Newton Aycliffe enjoyed their first drive out in the home’s minibus since COVID-19 restrictions have eased.

It was an exciting day for Residents at St Clare’s Court as they embarked on their first drive along the coast since the COVID-19 pandemic. Three Residents enjoyed looking at all of the beautiful sights at Seaton Carew from the minibus, commenting how nice it was to get out and about once again.

In the same day, three more Residents enjoyed an afternoon drive out, admiring the scenery before stopping for an ice cream from a local ice cream parlour. A great time was had by all, with Residents commenting that they are looking to more day trips throughout the summer months. 

St Clare’s Court Home Manager, Helen Emerson said: “It’s wonderful that we can finally take our Residents out once again, we are ensuring that all of the correct measures are taken to keep our Residents and team safe.”
