A very special Resident at HC-One’s
Wombwell Hall care home in Gravesend has celebrated her 106th birthday.
Florence Growns, Wombwell’s eldest Resident, celebrated her 106th birthday at Wombwell Hall on 31st May, surrounding by love, flowers and balloons.
Florence has been with Wombwell for a few years and has a great relationship with many of the staff and fellow Residents at the home. Florence celebrated her birthday with the homes care staff and loved her room being decorated in balloons and banners.
One of the things Florence looked forward to the most was receiving her lovely card from the Queen which she was absolutely honoured to receive. Florence also enjoyed a sing song with the homes care staff and finished off her birthday with a beautiful cake made by Wombwell’s head chef.
“106, what an achievement, and to see Florence so happy makes it all worthwhile,” said Wombwell Hall Home Manager Beckie Condi.
Located in a peaceful part of Northfleet, near Gravesend, Wombwell Hall is a friendly care home with 120 beds, offering nursing care.
