Garden renovations at Glasgow care homeResidents and team members at HC-One’s The Village care home Cumbernauld, Glasgow have been busy transforming the garden with the assistance of a local allotment group.

The aim is to spruce up the outdoor space whilst providing a dementia-friendly environment for Residents, relax, socialise and dine. The local allotment group generously donated some raised plant beds and plants which are easily accessible for people in wheelchairs.

Team members have cleaned the garden area and painted fences and furniture as well was tending to the plants and grass. Residents have enjoyed overseeing the project and offering their ideas and gardening tips.

The Village Home Manager, Barbara McGoran said: “The garden is looking great and will be the perfect place for our Residents to enjoy the summer months and spend some quality time with friends and family.”
