Gardening club starts at Pendleton Court

On 1st December at Salford’s Pendleton Court residential, nursing and residential memory care home, a new gardening club has started, 

Colleagues and Residents have a special connection with the garden and had previously worked together in the past before lockdown to spruce the garden up. So now they are starting gardening back up and running outdoor sessions. 

Resident Tom Bird said that he loved being in the fresh air and enjoyed the session. Tom enjoyed chatting with Colleague Gary about the different bulbs and which plants grow in different seasons. He is looking forward to the next session. 

Sandra Nixon, Care Home Manager, commented, “It’s going to look spectacular when all the flowers bloom. We look forward to the new year when we will be having a regular monthly session.”
