Gateshead care home Residents offer helping hand to local school boyThe Residents at HC-One’s Springfield House care home in Low Fell, Gateshead offered a helping hand to local school boy, TJ with an idea for a new stamp in honour of COVD-19 hero, Captain Sir Tom Moore.

Ashleigh, a member of the housekeeping team at Springfield House explained to Residents that her son, TJ, was entering a competition to help identify a new design for stamps which will be chosen by Her Majesty, The Queen.

The theme for the stamp is COVID-19 heroes, TJ, decided to dress up as Captain Sir Tom Moore, who famously raised over £30 million for NHS Charities Together during the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents at Springfield House offered a helping hand to Ashleigh and TJ by decorating a walking frame to complete TJ’s outfit for his stamp idea.

Both Ashleigh and TJ were pleased with the support and help of the Residents and now have their fingers crossed that TJs idea could be the winning stamp design chosen by The Queen herself.
