Glasgow care home Resident discovers passion for the artsHelen Sutherland, a Resident at HC-One’s Quayside care home Yoker, Glasgow has discovered her love of the arts at the age of 96.

Proving you are never too old to start a new hobby, Helen recently joined the care home’s the weekly art club sessions hosted every Thursday by Wellbeing Coordinator, Emma Lawrance.

Helen was hesitant about joining the art club but has quickly discovered her creative side. Emma commented: “It’s great to see Helen’s confidence growing each week, she is picking up everything so quickly and it’s a joy to watch.”

Quayside Home Manager, Liz Campbell said: “I am so pleased that Helen is exploring a new interest in her life and that Emma is doing an amazing job at supporting her through her creative journey.”
