Goole Colleague goes the extra mile for Residents this Valentine’s DayResidents at HC-One’s Windsor Court care home in Goole, East Yorkshire were in for a very special treat this Valentine’s Day as the home’s Head Chef prepared personalised cupcakes for them.

Each Resident received an individual delicious cupcake, decorated in pink icing, love hearts and their own name. The beautiful cakes were made with love by Windsor Court Head Chef, Sally Strain.

One Resident exclaimed: “It looks so beautiful that it’s a pity to eat it!”

Sally’s hard work was a lovely way for her to go above and beyond the call of duty for the Residents this Valentine’s Day and Colleagues praised her for her dedication to the home.

Her beautiful cupcakes came at a time when two other Colleagues were also being celebrated for their commitment to the home as they received their incredible Long Service Awards.

A Resident at the home commented: “Oh, that’s wonderful news. They’ve been here longer than me!”

Kitchen Assistant Linda Bollon and Nursing Assistant Annette Cawkwell are celebrating 10 years of hard work and dedication at Windsor Court. They each received a certificate and a badge to mark their career milestone.

Windsor Court Home Manager, Dawn Davis, said: “Congratulations on your service anniversary! You’ve both been a significant part of our team and we couldn’t imagine our home without you.”
