Grampian Court Residents knit for local hospitalAt Peterlee residential and residential memory care home, Grampian Court, Residents have been busy through the last few weeks knitting for the local hospital.

Muriel Little and Judith Edwards, who both live at the home, have been knitting cardigans, coats, blankets, hats, booties and gloves, which have been donated to the neonatal premature baby unit at Durham hospital.

Muriel spent a great deal of time on this project and the end result was fantastic!  She was over the moon with the response from the hospital and was so pleased that she could help within the community.

A staff member from the hospital said, “We are so grateful for the time and effort you have gone to making these and they are beautifully presented.”

Muriel commented, “I have really enjoyed knitting for the hospital, great pastime!”

Emma Hume, Care Home Manager, added, “I have loved supporting Muriel to achieve this part of her bucket list. This has been a great achievement for our Residents.”
