A Resident at
Stoneleigh in Stanley, County Durham which offers which offers residential and residential memory care, for those living with dementia enjoys nothing more than pottering in the garden.
The home noticed Resident Ron was busy weeding so they decided to get him a proper trowel.
Ron loves nothing better than pottering around in the garden and goes outside whenever he can and he often sweeps the paths while he's out there too, as he loves to keep busy.
One Colleague said, “It's really lovely to see him so content and happy, enjoying the fresh air and getting a little exercise, while keeping our garden weed free”.
Ron remarked, “I love being outside and in the fresh air and it is so much easier to do the weeding with a proper trowel!”
Susan Dodds, Care Home Manager said, “It is so nice to see a Resident enjoying himself like this”.
