Halloween takes centre stage at Newton Aycliffe care homeAt HC-One’s St Clare’s Court care home in Newton Aycliffe, Halloween has certainly taken centre stage and Colleagues and Residents alike, dress up for a spooky weekend.

Even the homes kitchen staff were getting involved with the occasion, singing some Halloween songs for Residents, such as Thriller. After this, Residents settled down for a Halloween quiz, some music and punch.

The cake trolley was decorated with pictures of ghosts, pumpkins, spiders and webs and toured around the home offering Residents some spooky themed cakes, with pumpkin and witch hat ornaments on top to finish them off.

One St Clares Court Resident said: “I have really enjoyed getting in the mood for Halloween this weekend, the cakes were lovely.”

Everyone really enjoyed the day, gearing up for the Halloween weekend and although it was socially distanced, Residents still got a chance to have a gossip with each other and enjoy some home entertainment.
