Huddersfield care home celebrate ChristmasResidents are enjoying a lovely Christmas Day at HC-One’s White Rose House in Holmfirth, Huddersfield.

Residents spent their Christmas morning in the garden with their socially distanced families, exchanging gifts and having a catch up.

Some Residents and Colleagues shed a tear or two at some of the thoughtful gifts they received.

One Resident who was over the moon with their gifts commented: “Have you seen these? They’re nice aren’t they?

“And ooh, look at this!”

The socially distanced visits were enjoyed by everyone at White Rose House, particularly in a time where visits are limited.

After a morning of presents and excitement, the Residents were ready for their Christmas dinner consisting of meat, vegetables, gravy and the much-debated Yorkshire pudding.

The celebrations continued throughout the day as Residents and Colleagues sang and danced to the festive music, before settling down to watch Christmas movies.

White Rose House Home Manager, Jodie Seymour, said: “Watching Residents open up their presents on Christmas brought a tear to my eye.

“How lovely it is.”
