Huyton care home transforms into the Wild WestFor Residents at Huyton’s residential, nursing and residential memory care home, Moss View, had the Wild West come to them today and there were smiles all around!

A tasty campfire stew was whipped up by the catering team as well as some barbeque favourites and for dessert ‘Ma's’ apple pie and custard.

Everyone involved then popped along to Peggy's Saloon Bar where they had a Hoedown (American folk dance). Singing along to their favourite country and western music as well as enjoying some red eye and rattlesnake juice.

Eva Brittnel, who is a Resident on Moss View's Harmony unit, said, “I love it when we all get together, it really cheers me up!”

Residents loved singing to all their favourite country and western songs and are all looking forward to the next theme night; ‘The roaring 20's’.

Gladys Duke, also a Resident, said how much she had enjoyed the shindig in Peggy’s Saloon. She also loved the cowboy hats.

Lesley, the home’s Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “The atmosphere at Peggy's Saloon was fabulous. It lifted everyone’s spirits!"
