Residents at HC-One’s Carr Gate care home in Wakefield were delighted to receive a visit from a traditional ice cream van.
Since the warmer weather has arrived, the team decided to arrange a visit from lumbs ice cream van, which has been operating in Wakefield for over fifty years. Residents were delighted to hear the noise of the ice cream van and choose what they wanted.
Everyone sat in the sunshine and ate their ice cream, some Residents commented that the taste brings back happy memories from their younger days.
Carr Gate Home Manager, Amy Brown said: “What a lovely treat, everyone seemed to enjoy their ice cream in the summer sun.”
