Leeds care home get into autumn craftsResidents at HC One’s Amber Lodge care home have been making autumnal crafts for a display board.

The Residents at the Leeds care home have spent time making crafts for their display board.

Colleagues and Residents had a discussion about autumn and what represents the season, and made the decision to design a tree with autumn coloured leaves.

Staff drew out a large tree with branches and the Residents helped to paint the tree different tones of brown.

The staff members then put the tree on the display wall and the Residents pointed out sections where they wanted the fallen leaves to be placed. Sunflowers were then added to the bottom to finish it off.
One of the Residents said “It’s been lovely working as a team to design something for our display wall.”

The home manager commented “the Residents have really enjoyed themselves, it’s been fun designing the display board knowing they have helped and reminisced about what they used to get up to in the autumn time.”
