Residents at Feniscowles residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home,
Old Gates, were in for a surprise today as one of their favourite local singers returned to entertain for the afternoon.
Luke Betts was asked to return to perform for the Residents following his successful debut last year as was more than happy to oblige and performed three sets (one set in each of Old Gates' courtyards/gardens) for all of the Residents, who were very happy to get out into the lovely sunshine and have a singalong and dance.
The residents loved everything from the day. The selection of songs brought back a lot of memories for them too. Comments heard were, “This has been the best day I've had at Old Gates.” And “Please can we do this all the time?”
Another Resident added, “"Thank you so much for this event!”
Helen Holden, Care Home Manager, said, “Everyone has been so happy and the events at Old Gates today have been so lovely. Exactly what we needed and more.”
