Mitcham care home Nurses celebrated on International Nurses DayResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Fieldway care home in Mitcham celebrated all things great about their Nurses on International Nurses Day this year, making sure they were spoiled.

On this year International Nurses Day Residents watched as the Nurses on shift were gifted flowers in gratitude of their hard work. Nurses on shift joined the Residents in the lounge where the Residents gave a round of applause for the hard work they do year in, year out at Fieldway.

After celebrating, Residents decorated their own cupcakes to have with afternoon tea. The homes lovely kitchen staff baked the cakes and Residents iced them. They then gave the cakes a personal touch by using icing pens, sprinkles and sweets to decorate.

It got very messy and sticky but it was well worth it as the cakes were truly scrumptious! Overall it was a touching day for everyone involved.

Joanna, one of the Nurses at Fieldway said: “What a touching gesture, our job would not be possible without all the staff working together here at Fieldway.”

Situated close to Mitcham town centre, Fieldway is a friendly care home with 68 beds, that offers nursing, residential and residential dementia care.
