New Resident joins Eastbourne HouseAt HC-One’s Whitley Bay residential and residential memory care home, Eastbourne House, everyone welcomed Hilda into the home as a new Resident.

Most fellow Residents attended, including Mavis Rigg, Bill Atchison, Ira Steel, Mary Tate and Carol Keilty, and had a smashing time at the welcoming party.

At Hilda’s request, they played Cole Porter big band hits to everyone. Some Residents got up for a bit of a dance.

Tea and coffee were served along with cakes, provided by the wonderful kitchen.

Hilda made a big impression on all Residents, especially Jean who had a lot in common with Hilda.

Hilda is really looking forward to participating in more of the activities and Colleagues are thrilled to have such a vibrant soul joining them.

Hilda commented, “The music it was fantastic love Cole Porter!”

Ira added, “Let’s do this again soon/”

Karen Drew, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “Great to have Hilda. I think she will be a big help to me with other activities!”
