New visiting pod at Cambridgeshire care homeFamilies can now visit Residents as a new visiting pod arrives at HC-One’s Manor House in Ramsey, Huntingdon.

Loved ones can visit the new pod for a face-to-face chat with Residents.

The pod follows all coronavirus protocols the home is working very closely with Public Health England to ensure that everyone stays safe.

For many care home Residents, their only contact with family is through phone calls or video chat so having the new visiting pod has boosted morale and raised spirits throughout Manor House.

One Resident commented: “It’s been lovely after such a long time to have a visit.”

Colleagues at the home have worked extremely hard over the past year to ensure all Residents are safe and happy and they are delighted to have the opportunity to resume family visits.

Due to lockdown in-home visits are not possible so many people have been stopping by the home’s windows to say a quick hello to their loved ones in the home.

But the new pod is a safe space out of the cold weather where families can come together for a more enjoyable visit.

Manor House Home Manager, Bhekimpilo Perelion, said: “It was beautiful to see the happiness in Residents’ faces.”
