Norton Lees care home Residents have been very busy this MayAt HC-One’s Holmwood nursing and residential memory care home, in Sheffield, Residents, including Sue, Tony and Maisie, have been very busy with lots of activities and a wonderful week of person-centred care.

Today, wellbeing Colleague Vicky put on a one-to-one pamper morning with the Residents. Sue, who lives at Holmwood, wanted her hair doing in rollers which she thoroughly enjoyed. Then she assisted Colleagues with ordering from a catalogue and wrote down a list of things to buy. Sue then enjoyed some cake and a cup of tea.

Also, today one of the Residents, Tony, was feeling a little under the weather. Colleagues decided to fetch him his favourite dinner; McDonald’s with a cappuccino. With a beaming smile and thumbs up, he certainly enjoyed it!

On Thursday, Colleagues brought Maisie, who is also a Resident, into the kitchen area to make her own cup of tea, just the way she likes it! She loved chatting to the kitchen team, including Roger, about the current menu and wanted to assist staff with taking the tea trolley (stocked full of treats) around for other Residents.  Maisie enjoys helping the staff with the daily running of the home.”

Vicky commented, “We always make sure that our Residents’ tastes are catered for and that they get to do everything they love, daily!”
