Nottingham care home Resident celebrates birthdayResidents at HC-One’s Acacia care home were delighted to come together as Kathleen, a fellow Resident, celebrated turning 89 years of age.

The theme was ‘tell a joke’ and everyone thoroughly enjoyed laughing and trying to remember the jokes they used to tell their families and friends. Some old fashioned pub jokes were also remembered by some of the Residents.

Musical instruments were used as Elvis songs played for Residents to enjoy a sing-along to some of Kathleen’s favourite songs, with laughs had by all.

Home Manager, Glenys Winson, commented: “What a lovely day we’ve all had today, Kathleen seems to have had a great birthday!”
