A Resident at HC-One’s Silverwood care home in Beeston, Nottinghamshire is today celebrating his 72nd birthday with cake and a sing-a-long.
David Simpson spent the day celebrating with Colleagues and his fellow Residents.
Unfortunately, his family was unable to visit him due to lockdown restrictions but they all phoned him to wish him a happy birthday while he opened up his presents.
Everyone sang happy birthday to David as Colleagues presented him with a beautiful cake baked and decorated by Silverwood Kitchen Colleagues.
David said: “I’ve had a lovely day. I love all my presents.”
After a slice of cake and a cup of tea, everyone enjoyed a cheerful sing and a dance to some of David’s favourite songs.
Silverwood Home Manager, Debra Meynell, said: “It’s great to hear everybody enjoying themselves. It’s so important to celebrate our Residents’ birthdays.”
