Nottinghamshire care home Residents take part in scrapbook making
Irthlingborough based care home, Acacia Lodge involved Residents in scrapbook making this week whereby everyone has made a special momento to remember particular events and memories at the home.
Colleagues have sat with Residents, either one to one or on a group basis, and helped them to reminisce about everything they have done both recently and in the preceding years. Then they cut and glued into the books various pictures that meant something to them.
While completing her scrapbook one Resident commented, “It will be lovely to look back through these in a couple of months and remember together.”
Simona Antone is Acacia Lodge’s Care Home Manager and loved the idea of a scrapbook, “It isn’t just for the Residents, but their family and friends too. When we are finally able to go back to some sort of normality, it will be lovely for the Residents to be able to show everyone what they have been up to.”
