Paisley Residents form their very own choirResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Hillside View care home in Glenburn, Renfrewshire have taken it upon themselves to form their very own home choir.

At their most recent Residents’ meeting, Residents brought up that they would like to take part in more singing and thought a choir would be a wonderful way to do so. It was at that moment they discovered that Care Assistant Joanne Hunter used to be a school music teacher.

Joanne took up the role of leading the choir and it has since become a huge success, going from strength-to-strength.

One Resident said: “It’s really good. I look forward to it and now I record my TV programmes so that I don’t miss practice.”

Hillside View choir practice takes place once a week and they cannot wait to show off their talents to their families and friends via Zoom.

Hillside View Home Manager, Katy Jenks, commented: “This has been great to see. All Residents are enjoying the choir, even people who didn’t initially want to be involved are coming now.”
