Pancake Day at Cambridgeshire care homeWith Shrove Tuesday upon them, the Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s The Red House care home in Huntingdon decided to make the most of the day and dug into as many delicious pancakes as their hearts desired.

Home Chef, Pauline Harding, made 160 fresh pancakes for Residents and Colleagues to tuck into. Residents could choose their favourite toppings and while most went with the traditional lemon and sugar, many chose fresh fruit, chocolate cream, syrup and more.

Daphne, a Resident at the home, said: “The pancakes were just lovely.”

Residents were thrilled that they were able to tuck into as many pancakes as they wanted and followed their sweet feast with chatter about their favourite memories of making pancakes for their children.

The Red House Activities Coordinator, Chris Harris, commented: “Pauline did an amazing job of getting them all made in time and tasting so delicious. I thought it would be rude not to try one but I ended up having three because they were so nice!”
