Residents at HC-One’s Forthbank care home in Kildean, Stirling have been busy planting vegetables in an effort to eat more fresh and healthier food.
Everyone has enjoyed offering a helping hand plant and tend to a variety of vegetable plants, Residents watching the plants grow and are looking forward to harvesting their first crop.
One Resident commented: “I used to grow my own fruit and vegetables, I can’t wait to taste these vegetables.”
Forthbank Home Manager, Yvonne Graham said: “What a wonderful idea, it’s great to see everyone getting involved.”
Located on Drip Road, Forthbank care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentleman that require nursing care and nursing memory care, for those living with dementia.
