Reborn doll brings comfort to Falkirk care home ResidentsResidents at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Falkirk enjoy caring for a reborn doll which they have named Skye.

Skye has brought lots of happiness and comfort to the Residents at Kinnaird Manor, but they had commented that she can be quite heavy to carry, so the team posted on social media to see if anyone in the local community had a pram that they could donate.

A Relative of a Resident at Kinnaird Manor kindly purchased a pram and donated this to the care home, the pram was quarantined and cleaned in line with COVID-19 infection control prior to being introduced to the home.

Everyone enjoyed the addition of the pram, Jim loves taking Skye for a walk around the home and telling others to be quiet cause the baby is sleeping.

Kinnaird Manor Home Manager, Donna Stewart said: “It’s heart-warming to see the joy and comfort that Skye has brought to so many of our Residents, the pram was such a generous donation and has already been put to good use.”

Located on Brown Street, Kinnaird Manor care home offers short and long term care packages for older members of the community in Falkirk that require nursing care and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
