Remembrance Day at Lothian HouseHC-One’s, Lothian House, residential and residential nursing care home, in Spennymoor, recently honoured Remembrance Day.

Residents decided they would like to create a remembrance section within the memorial garden. Residents coloured and painted poppies and put them onto sticks to plant into the ground.

Staff and Residents observed a 2-minute silence at 11am on the 11th day, of the 11th month.

All the Residents enjoyed making the poppies and paying their respects to the fallen.

One Resident, commented, “I really enjoyed making the poppies and creating the memorial.”

Jill Morton-Carr, Care Home Manager, added, “The Residents really enjoyed the crafts.”
