Residents go for gold at Harrogate care homeResidents at a local Harrogate care home have won gold whilst celebrating and enjoying the Olympic games.

HC-One’s Grosvenor House hosted Olympic themed events for Residents and family to enjoy, with Residents at the residential and nursing care home presented with their very own gold medals.

The keen Olympian spectators particularly enjoyed the show jumping and swimming events, with one Resident commenting: “I wish I could swim like that! I never knew there were so many sports involved in the Olympics!”

Susan Nutter Grosvenor House Home Manager, said: “Our home has had a real buzz about it and with the UK performing so well at the Olympics it has left both Residents and staff on a bit of a high!
“It’s so important that our Residents feel connected to society and this was a fantastic way for them to enjoy an international event, and also stay active.”

Residents and staff are now set to cheer on Team GB once again with the commencement of the Paralympics.

Located on Duchy Road, Grosvenor House offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen in Harrogate that require residential or nursing care.
