Robotic cat proves a hit to Ferndale ResidentsAt Ferndale Mews residential memory care and nursing memory care home, in Widnes, Residents received a very generous donation from Widnes Rotary Club.

A robotic cat, that the Residents decided to affectionately name Tiddles, was very well received as a kind donation, that the Residents have fallen in love with.

Colleagues said the highlights have to be seeing the smiles beaming from everyone’s faces the moment Tiddles is placed on their laps for a cuddle and a pet. He instantly makes Residents feel loved and content.

Rotary Widnes handed over Tiddles to Graeme, Home Manager to raise awareness of their objective, which is to raise funds to provide more of these wonderful gifts to as many care homes as they can.

Everyone loves Tiddles’ purring and being able to pet him on their lap.

One Resident said, “He’s made a big difference to my daily life.”

Doris, pictured in the lilac cardigan, remarked “He's just so fluffy and wonderful, he is purring to tell me he's happy. It makes me so happy too."

Ken added, “He brightens my day."
