Staff at Chaseview care home in Essex, went that little step further to help Resident Gladys Moore celebrate her 105th birthday in style with a grand pamper session fit for a queen.
It was arranged for Gladys to attend the salon at the care home where she had a shampoo and set which she really enjoyed. After she had her nails shaped and painted, then spent time outdoors in the shade in the garden reminiscing about her life story to fellow Residents and Colleagues at the home.
Later in the day Gladys was surrounded by staff and fellow Residents who helped to celebrate her birthday with some delicious tea party treats as well as a cake and everyone singing ‘Happy Birthday’.
Gladys said that she really enjoyed her day and was treated to small gifts as well as the local Morrisons who donated a lovely bouquet of flowers to her.
