Salford care home Residents make banner to mark 94th birthday celebrationsAt Pendleton Court residential, nursing and residential memory care home, in Manchester, one of the Residents celebrated her 94th birthday this week.

Velna, pictured, had a lovely visit from her family which she was delighted with! Colleagues moved her bed into the garden so that she could enjoy the flowers and sunshine to mark the special day.

Her room was dressed up with streamers and a banner which was made by the other Residents in their arts and crafts session, pictured right.

There was, of course, a delicious birthday cake too which was homemade by the home’s chef, Pete.

Velna commented that she loved the banners in her room and it was beautiful that the Residents had made it for her, “I love my garlands they (the Residents) have made. My room looks beautiful!”

Sandra Nixon, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Velna really enjoyed her day and felt like a queen.”
