Sending cards and letters to loved ones from Prescot care homeColleagues and Residents at John Joseph Powell care home, Merseyside, have been working to send cards and pictures to loved ones, to keep in touch and send good wishes.

Carer, Nicola McGlynn and Wellbeing Coordinator, Julie Wusteman organised the activity which Residents thoroughly enjoyed and put a lot of thought into. One of the Residents commented, “The card is a lovely thought with a picture to let everyone know we are safe and cared for.”

The card had the words wrote on then ‘distance means so little when someone means so much’, pictured, which the Residents loved the most about the activity.

Stephanie Molden, Home Manager, said, “We have found that technology isn’t always the best and preferred option for our Residents to keep in touch and the meaning behind these cards, can make the contact so much more personal.”
