Residents are having a blooming fun sunflower competition at HC-One’s Balcarres care home in Broughty Ferry, Dundee.
There is a friendly competition at Balcarres to see who can grow the tallest sunflower, each Resident decorated their own plant pot before planting their sunflower seed. Each pot is now in the home’s greenhouse and being watered every day by the Residents to encourage them to grow.
Everyone at Balcarres is enjoying watching the sunflowers grow and enjoy chatting about which one they think will grow to be the biggest, Ian commented: “I hope mine grows as big as the building.”
Balcarres Home Manager, Lynn McLean said: “I am pleased that everyone is enjoying their sunflower competition, I look forward to seeing which sunflower is crowned the winner.”
