Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Peniel Green care home were excited to welcome a new member into the home.
The Residents at the care home in Swansea were surprised this month when they spotted some eggs in the fish tank.
This was more of a surprise as everyone at the home thought the fish were all girls! In fact, they were named after the Operations Directors Ruth, Jacqui and Cas, so they are now wondering which one is the boy!
The team went straight to their local fish specialists at Dobbies in Swansea, who gave them some great advice on how to rear the eggs and they are now safely in an incubator.
The whole home is excited to see whether the eggs will hatch into baby fish.
The Residents are excited to see what colour the little fish will be, and which fish turns out to be the father!
The home manager said “The fish tank surprise has really put a fissure of excitement around the home - everyone is checking to see if the eggs have hatched.”
