Tameside Residents enjoy a pop up pamper salonResidents have taken part in a relaxing afternoon of pampering over at HC-One’s Fir Trees care home in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester.

Wellbeing Coordinator Josie Kemp set up a beauty trolley stocked with all the supplies to make Residents look and feel their very best, even in lockdown. Residents enjoyed having their nails trimmed, cleaned and painted, although the gentlemen at Fir Trees weren’t keen on the idea of nail polish.

Vera, a Resident at the home, said: “I really like this colour, thank you for doing my nails. Can you book me in for next time?”

Josie even offered hand face massages to instil relaxation and comfort in the Residents. Many took her up on the opportunity for a hand massage and a few Residents even enjoyed a relaxing face massage.

Fir Trees Resident Doreen commented: “If you went on any longer I would have been asleep!”

The pop up pamper salon was a great way for Josie to spend some one-to-one time with Residents while she helped them look and feel great.

Fir Trees Care Assistant, Michelle, said: “I loved seeing how the Residents were all enjoying the hand massages. A lot of them looked very sleepy and relaxed.”
