Technology keeps Redcar care home Residents connected to their faithResidents at HC-One’s St Peter’s Court care home in Redcar are able to continue their religious practices despite a UK-wide lock down due to COVID-19 with the help of technology.

On Tuesday 31st March, eight Residents who regularly attend church were able to continue to practice their religion with a live stream link to the home’s local parish church. Residents were delighted to be able to have their place of worship brought to them via the internet and take part in the service as they normally would.

One Resident commented: “It was very comforting to be able to take part in our church service during these uncertain times, I look forward to the rest of our online services until we are able to attend church again.”

Joleen Rayner, Home Manager at St Peter’s Court said: “I am so pleased that our Residents are able to continue to practice their religion and remain part of the local religious community with the help of technology.”
