Therapy animals visit the Glen care homeOn 10th November at Somerset’s the Glen residential and nursing care home, Residents were very lucky to have Harry and Rox the Therapy Goats and Queenie the Chicken visit.

The Residents loved seeing the animals, which were even able to go around the home to Residents’ rooms, who were able to touch and stroke the animals.

Everyone commented on how well behaved and gentle the goats were and they couldn't believe the chicken is 15 years old!

Audey Dyson is blind but was able to touch and stroke the animals she said " I haven't touched an animal that is this soft before".

Terri-Ann Weatherall, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Residents are next looking forward to visits from a baby lamb, miniature ponies and donkeys!”
