Residents at HC-One’s Carr Gate care home in Wakefield made some wonderful 2021 calendars to place in their own rooms or to send home to loved ones.
After such a tough year, Residents thought it would be a great idea to look forward and to meet 2021 with optimism and joy. So, along with the help of Colleagues, on 13 January, Residents created some wonderful personalised calendars, so they could look forward to 2021.
Residents selected special dates to them, including family birthdays, anniversaries and more and highlighted them so they could look forward to wishing the loved ones all the best.
“I chose my wedding anniversary as a special day to highlight,” said one Carr Gate Resident.
As well as this, their own birthdays were highlighted with the age they will be in 2021.
Carr Gate Home Manager, Sheryl Crosland said: “This activity is such a great thing to do, especially at a time like this so Residents have something to look forward to and celebrate if they can.”
