Summerville care home Residents, in Warrington, Cheshire, saw Colleagues and Residents come together in the lounge at 11am today to remember...
This led on to some of Residents reminiscing about their memories of wartime and how it affected their families and themselves.
One of the Residents remarked, “It was very nice to sit together for a short time and reflect on the changes that have come since the war.”
“It was a nice way to remember,” added another Resident.
Residents enjoyed swapping memories. One commented, "Remembering is always sad but we have to.”
Home Manager, Sharon Singleton, commented, “Spending this day with people who have real memories of war time is always poignant.”
