A Resident is celebrating her birthday as she turns 80 years young today over at HC-One’s Magna care home in Leicestershire.
Andrea started her day off with a relaxing visit to the Magna hair salon where Wellbeing Coordinator Donna washed and styled her hair. Like clockwork, as soon as her hair was set the doorbell rang and a beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived for Andrea from her school friends of years gone by.
Residents and Colleagues gathered to sing happy birthday to Andrea as she blew out the candles on her special cake, surrounded by balloons and banners. She enjoyed sharing her delicious cake with her friends at the home as they laughed and chatted among themselves.
After a fun afternoon, Andrea’s Daughter, Kate, dropped by with her son to chat and celebrate through the window as Andrea opened her many lovely gifts.
Magna Home Manager, Chipo Mupunga, said: “It was lovely to see the happiness on Andrea’s face today.”
The fun and laughter continued throughout the day as Avis, a Resident at the home and very talented pianist, tried to teach Magna’s Colleagues how to play piano. Residents watched on and laughed at their attempts to play classical music.
One Colleague commented: “Avis said that we were doing well but I think she was just being kind! Lots of laughs all round today.”
